Andre McIntyre
Andre McIntyre joined the University of Iowa Olympic strength & conditioning staff in August 2022. McIntyre is responsible for Women’s Soccer, Women’s Golf, Women’s Tennis, & Cross Country. Prior to Iowa, McIntyre was at South Dakota State University serving as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. While at SDSU, he oversaw the athletic performance programs for Women’s Soccer, wrestling, Track & Field, Golf along with being the primary assistant for Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball. Additionally, while at SDSU, he was the internship coordinator, social media director, and data analytics coordinator.
McIntyre earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science for South Dakota State University. During his time as a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, he oversaw Equestrian, Men’s & Women’s Tennis, cheer & dance, and the development groups for baseball and track & field. Additionally, he assisted with football, volleyball, Softball and Men’s & Women’s Basketball amongst other teams. McIntyre also interned at Creighton University working with most teams. Prior to interning at Creighton, McIntyre worked as a Physical Therapy Tech & Sport Performance Coach in the private sector upon completing his undergraduate degree.
McIntyre received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State College in Exercise Science and Applied Human Sport Physiology. McIntyre is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USAW Certified Sports Performance Coach from USA Weightlifting, Reflexive Performance Reset certified, as well as CPR/AED & First Aid Certified.
